getting rid of norton notice

This may not be in the right spot but........... Norton seems to be loaded on my new laptop and every time I turn it on I get a notice to upgrade to some Norton add-ons. I dont want them but the only options given are either "upgrade now" or "remind me later". How do I delete it for good? ta

Download the removal tool from Norton and replace it with one of the free AV products.

There are many threads on boards in relation to peoples preferences.
