Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Love the train but think I would get in a little tighter, In the Half dome I am waiting for an indian to come out from behind the rocks.and the old car is a real American scene. Looks a really interesting and varied place great for photography.

Some nice memories here. Well done

Thanks very much. You're right the photos bring back great memories - we drove up the Californian coast to Oregon and then across Nevada to Utah and Arizona and back through Death Valley and Yosemite.

We could hear coyotes pretty much every night but only saw them in Death Valley.

Some good images in there but for me, they really fit the mould for someone who has travelled across America for a short period of time, shooting what they think America should look like in photos.

For me they look like photos you've seen previously and tried to replicate the look/feel of them. Just some well shot tourist images for me and nothing new to catch my eye.

Thanks for your feedback, Pete; however, I disagree with your opinion (especially on the point of 'replicating look/feel')...

Either way, the photos represent great memories of a wonderful trip and to me that's all what matters in this case...

Love the Pelican shot, no idea why, its just a great shot. All others are pretty cool, another eye catching one is the Old Timer.
I don't agree with the replicating comment, but then again i have never been to the States, so maybe i have no idea what i am talking about.:)

Thanks very much - I'm glad you like those. Have to admit I feel very much the same about the Pelican - no idea why. Perhaps cause I had never seen a pelican in the wild that close before. :)

If you have never been to States, try and go - even if for a short trip. If you get out of the cities and go around the country for some time, it's sooooo worth it. Careful though, it's addictive - I was never pushed about America myself (with only one exception) and look at me now...would go back any time. biggrin.gif

This was our 2nd trip to California in the past 2 years; we spent 3 weeks there and drove approx. 5000km across California, a bit of Oregon, Arizona, Nevada and a bit of Utah. Thanks for looking...:)
