What a load of boll1x. There is people who killed by dangerous driving that dont do time. If you decide to p1ss off the judge or a repeat offerder you maybe might do time..people should really not post if they have not a clue.

OP don't be worrying about the insurance. Once you can show a valid certificate of insurance or exemption covering the date you were stopped it will be fine.

In fact it doesn't even need to be addressed. Get there early and seek out the guard and show him the certificate. He will most likely 'Strike Out' the insurance summons when you are called.

"Judge, application to strike out insurance summons, documents produced"..............is what he will say and be done with it. Tax and License Summonses will probably result in a fine of some sort. Nothing that will ruin your xmas.

Don't be worrying about it tonight. I know its easy for me to say, but decent folk appearing in court on petty RT offences is not the end of the world. Don't let me dictate to you but I would say you are mad to pay a solicitor for something that will last less than a minute and probably cost you as much as the fines.

You'll be asked if your pleading guilty. You are to both. Might be asked for an excuse. Justify it however you see fit. Take your fine. Say thank you judge and head off. You'll wonder tomorrow afternoon what the fuss was all about to be honest.

Actually that's true, it cost me 150 but I suppose I meant it doesn't actually cost anything to get in. In fact there are some people who just go over to watch.
