You can get these with English text but I rather like the cyrillic.

It's a Volmax product, so quality should be good.

Personally I have so far resisted the urge to splash out on a Strela re-issue.

I find the 38 mm version too thick (the 3133 movement builds fairly high) and while the 44 mm version has the right proportion of diameter vs thickness by being so big IMO it looses some of the elegance of the original.

In that size and price class I personally would prefer this (42 mm):

    Or perhaps the Berkut

    but that's only 40 mm

    However ...

440 Euro for the big Strela is a good price ...if you like it, get it.

    EDITED to add

You might also like the 42 mm P-7 Semyorka ...cheaper too

By not exactly copying the original Strela it works better in that size IMO

Some interesting options there. How does the Sturmanskie version compare to the one I posted in the OP?

    You cannot see that picture?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,819 ✭✭✭✭peasant

nope ...all I see after "this one:" is a blank space, not even the usual red x ...nothing.

When I quote your post I get the url ...but that doesn't work either

    strange ....

    EDIT

    pic works now
    !

    I prefer the second variant
The paddle hands, while harder to read, just look so much better (also closer to the original)

Nice choices - I think I like the last one, but it looks too hard to read.

The top one is nice (And the русский text is cool) but the size means that the date window looks a little odd; from my point of view at least. I think you'd be better off with something around 39mm (I must confess that is something of a sweet spot for me anyway).

I also like the last one. It's probably easier to read than it looks.

This is a nice clean look:

This one is closer to the original size 37mm.
