Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Im looking to buy a decent hifi to replace my nearly 15yr old Jvc unit of 360watts and surround sound speakers. The speakers are still fine but the unit is broken.

I want something equally as loud as the Jvc or louder :)

    Must take 3 or 5 cd's.

Ive no interest in ipods or any of that connecting up iphone crap. Just want a proper decent old fashioned Hifi that blasts out genuine cd's to a class quality of sound.

What should i buy, 1 of the big Sony Hifi's or maybe go with the seperates, but these are very hard to find in shops let alone get prices for in my experience.

    This any use?

Hi bushy. It's a long time since I bought gear that wasn't tv related, but I would say separates are the way to go. Dedicated machinery for the job. I used to buy 2nd hand at richer sounds, but I believe they are only up north now. I love NAD for built-like-a-tank components and value for money. I have a bottom of the line 310 I bought in 1996 that still blasts my tannoys. Good luck searching
