Right All, I been meaning to put these up for months Now,
Everyone is unreal on here on Retro Forum, and my turn to payback and get off my ass
and share what I got so Far, rough Notes I made at the time of How I got this monster cab few months ago below :)

    ******************************************************************************
    29th 30th May 2011
Got Segas down from Dublin-Cork at 10am on Saturday,
LUCKY I got them indoors as had best-friends Stag departed for Kilkenny at 11am, Hour to dismantle and get them in the Door
Delivery DRIVER MESSED UP night b4, petrol into Diesel van, Idiot :) 400E AND 150 TO DELIVERY (ROBBED BUT WORTH IT)

They are 81.75cm each, my door 81.5, removing both sides brings it down to 79cm but removing one side did trick on second one...!!!
First one nearly had monitor fall off!!! Dangerous with side removed :) Fine but be careful... Mine barely held on.

    Machines were in good nick:

    Player 1:
    - Screen Perfect but needs color and size synching on Pots, little screen burn
    - Very NOISY!!!! Under side and FFB
    - FFB doesnt work
    - Looks like Gear 4 doesnt either
    - 1 Speaker on side not working
    - Needs to fix front subs too

    Player 2
    - Scratches on Srceen, bad ones but hardly notice when playing,
Big Diff on P2 screen, great brightness and colors!!!! AWESOME
    - BOTH Speakers work great
    - Needs to fix front subs too
    - FFB works brill and all controls
    - - Swapped P1 buttons with P2 as START Button was Stuck
    - Casters need replace on player 2

    MARQUEE:
-Tried to lift on my own, bad idea srcatch all kitchen worktop coz of it falling :)
But to my suprise TOP MARQUEE in Perfect condition and LIGHTING WHOOP!!!! :)
    - 6 Bulbs for P1 and P2 all need replacing, Easy than marquee light not working :) 110v 30w

Played P1 a bit, disappointing it had issues with Gears, FFB and screen
Spent whole day with suds and water cleaning inside and out
Only after this did i hook P2 and marquee and last part was worth wait
coz hey presto all worked fine on Player 2 bar start button, (swapped in p1)
And its some fun for 1995 game, FFB is great and so is handling.

    NEXT:
    - Further Cleaning
    - Attach Coin Door Box
    - secure Marquee
    - How to LINK two of them, Attract mode
    - Fix P1 Fans, FFB and Screen

    Bed its 4am
    ******************************************************************************
    June 2011

-Marque Lights Dont Flash, fix :
    http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=78443

-Degauss helped P2 but no P1, NO REDS issue i think, messed with POTS to fix V.Size.

-Into DIPS and changed cars around P1 to P2
    And NOLINK to LINK
Afterwards 6 LIGHTS Started to work, well not the 2 blown ones :)

    ******************************************************************************

Still loads to do on these, but for now, It resides in the Kitchen HAHAHA

    Thanks all, Kev

I'm pretty sure they are indeed the cabs which were up on adverts which you had your eye on at one point. Don't think they were free though? Absolute steal if they were!

Lovely looking machines kev, I am seriously jealous!

Maybe they wern't free, but I know they wern't expensive by any stretch. I've erased it from my mind as they could should have been mine. Stupid cork being so far away pushing stupid delivery prices up too high, & stupid narrow doorways meaning stupid cabs wont stupidly fit grrr

Delighted to see they got a good home, they were headed for the skip I do believe...

Not sure they are. I thought the ones you were looking at were red in colour? Daytona cabs maybe? Can't remember for sure.

How the shaggin hell do you have room for all these cabs?
My better half would burst a blood vessel if I had those in the house...
More than likely one of my blood vessels, with a frying pan!

    @Andrew76, EnterNow o1s1n
Thanks Guys, ya im chuffed to bits about this Cab,
Seen few around Europe over summer and Mime is in much better nick.
Plus these be rare over then years so cant go wrong except for size of the beast :)

"Stupid cork being so far away pushing stupid delivery prices up too high,

haha Same issue for me, except I had to drag these down from Dublin, not an easy task :)

No these werent same Sega rallys that were free, they were few months before now these went up on Adverts,
sound lad had 1 of these and 2 SR2 Twins, think Mitchomagic took them and should had this cab too too,
but didnt want them, Thanks Mitch, owe you one :)

Got price down to 300e, but also paid 50e for Supermegalo which never arrived down, still waiting on that, prob never see it,
and also paid extra 50e to store for week until i arranged Delivery van, So in Total 400e plus 150e Form Delivery Guys,
but how bad have it for life now.

Player 1 has no red on Monitor and P1 FFB isnt working, just noises from it,
but outside of that, its in good nick, Player 2 is perfect Condition,
Marquee is Awesome. And gotta Love the FFB, break ur arm off :)

WARNING DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME
Dont try assemble marquee in Kitchen on our own, its HUGE, heavy
when i tried to lift on top of two Cabs ON MY OWN, FAILED Miserably :)
See outside of me not being strong enough, Marquee splits open to allow access to Lamps and Marquee Light
and I went backwards with whole thing, stumbling around kitchen like an egit, until BANG!!!
Marquee got away without a Mark on it, Kitchen worktop did not, all MARKED :)

    @CiDeRmAn
hahaha I only get away with it cause theres no Wife killing me :)
I got to enjoy this while I can, keep buying Cabs until the day comes where im not the boss anymore :)
And pretend they came with the house :)

Isn't it weird how men and women prioritize things differently?

I'd happily get rid of my dining table and eat my dinner off those Sega Rally seats.

The marquee across the top of them is bloody huge! I didn't really notice it the first time I looked. Looks like it weighs a ton.

hahaha - At least my Kitchen Table still fits.

As for the SR, well I use as a indoor Clothes line pretty often :o)
It can take a good 10 towels on it, It has already paid for itself in household cores!!! lol

    It's amazing alright,
She worries about the mortgage, I'd be happy buying a commercial unit with a jacks and a kitchenette and use the main space for collecting cabs, consoles, videogames and giant plushies!

    hi kev.
been looking for a sega rally machine and came across the ad which you bought it from which led me to boards which led me to this. your's seems to be the only one around ireland at present. i was wondering if you had tired of it and were willing to sell it. mail me if nothing else, would love to know if you had done a bit of search for this and how hard it was to come across it. you got a bloody bargain by the looks of things.

    Cheers.

lolosaur, you should have just sent a private message to Kev for info, rather than bring back a long dead thread.
But, you're new so that's ok...

Other people in this thread may have something to add to my search.

I wanted the post to be seen.
