I've used an outdoor carcoon for the past four years (admittedly under a carport), and it's been great. No scuffing, no dampness in the car, coped well with high winds and blizzards. If this one is of the same quality as the carcoon, I'd trust it.

hey up, ive got one alright but its not for outdoor use....im not sure if he makes them for that.....they are good, cheap to run, fans are good.....i parked my mk2 escort mexico in it from wet and it dries it....my only problem with it is pulling it over the car evrytime you want to use the car.....but its only with this particular type of car tent.....

my mex now sits in a cairoport steel frame tent.....you need alot of space for one of these though....:D

The carcoon looks good with the double skin.

I have the car capsule one for outdoor use.
Its crap quality, all the zip handles have broke off. each corner has worn through already, There is always water on the car when i take it off.
all the supporting ties have broken off -ripped.
Its still running and staying up but quality is very cheap...I know have key rings on the zips to open them.

Im gonna buy a shed as the hassle of taking the cover off and back on + the fear of scraping the paint work when you are lifting it off is too much.

    hope this helps

I've an indoor Carcoon for the past 5 to 6 years and I've used in both in a garage and in a carport. I ordered it direct from Carcoon and it arrived a few days later.

I've never had an ounce of trouble from it, although I am a fraction particular about it. I've hung the top cover from the rafters with home made guy ropes so that when I want to take the car out, I un-zip it and lift the cover out of the way. Also, when it's in the garage, I place old carpet under the floor sheet to stop any small stones damaging it when I drive the car onto it. I also place cardboard on the floor for driving the car in and under the engine/gearbox etc. I've changed the filters once and will be doing it again soon.

There is one problem however. The cat has discovered the "largest air bed in the world" and regularly sleeps on the inflated carcoon.......

I had an outdoor Carcoon as well for a few years - very good. Was killed eventually by the heavy snow and frost 2 years ago - more my fault really caused by trying to clear it rather than a fault of the Carcoon itself. It definitely did it's job in protecting the car. I have a propoer shed now though - no substitute for that really.
