Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, i have a rock at home which covers about 3 acres or so. There is plenty shelter there as there is trees etc. A local lad has asked me to outwinter 20 cattle about 250kg there for him. I would be feeding them with hay and he would supply the meal. i'll just have to agree a price for the hay wiht him but what would it be worth for me to feed them daily with meal and hay and keep an eye on them for the 3 months? i havent a clue what to ask him!! Just wondering would anyone have any experience of this or any suggestions! Thanks in advance...

Outwintering that number of cattle on 3 acres (1.2 Ha) would in my view be in breach of outwintering under the nitrate directive. Be careful and get advice before commiting yourself to anything.

That would be my biggest concern, Its tricky and depends on who's herd they are in and what storage capacity that herd has. I have dealt with this crap and it can be a absolute joke and the guys in authority will go to any lengths if they so choose as it will never hurt their pocket. proceed with caution
