You know I never even thought of that and it makes so much sense, I wanted to take it out aswell. How did I not think of that!! :mad:

I guess I could try re-sell the items, most of them were bought cheaper than they're worth but the AH is pretty dead these days.

"The top 20 players for Diablo III have a combined 5,279,188 Elite kills according to Diablo Progress, a website that tracks player stats. According to a Reddit post, the top player in the game, a certain Ali#2398, has a total of 301,529 Elite kills, which roughly translates into 1,595 hours of playtime, which means he's been playing everyday all day for the last 2.3 months straight. Bots are well known about but blizzard as usual failed to tackle the problem!!

thats ridiculous. I played about 350-400 hours in total, spent a LOT of time farming elites, and according to my profile ive killed about 25,000 elite packs.

How can they kill more than 10 times that amount?!

As I said above, it's people using bots to farm 24/7!

Keep in mind that they're not necessarily Inferno elites - a level 60 with the right equipment could walk around normal and nightmare and the elites would just drop dead - this is what the bots mostly do.

I see they have a blog post giving a brief outline of all the changes that are coming in 1.04.

I like that Magic find wont be averaged any more as there was no point in me playing a public game with 250MF only to have it averaged out over the other players.

Turns out if you can guess the security question, you can change your password without any activation needed by email.

How and why they allow this i do not know

Because the point is to change your account password once your e-mail/user account has been compromised (and had the e-mail address changed)...

This is backwards imo.

You can't change the e-mail address for the account without having the password.

You can guess the security question all day long i presume?

But unlike your password it's unlikely to be password, Hello, first name or similar and hence should be more secure.

You've got to be kidding me?

Half the battle is already won with the 'hacker' knowing the question that's asked.

Also Blizzard gives you a list of predefined questions.

E.G. Where were you born? You can go on to answer with every possible city. You'll be right eventually with some account. (which is what happened in my case I was informed)


Its a serious and obvious flaw in security if you ask me. Never come across a game that allows password change without email activation.

So, is anyone else thinking of playing again once the 1.04 patch is released?

Most interesting thing I can see from it is the buff to legendary items.
They are going to be proper legendary with their own unique stats and higher tier levels.

The chance of actually coming across one and the probability that it won't be **** (even with the buff) make it a pretty weak reason to go back to the game.

i will defenetly go to play and see the new changes, but i have a feeling that this patch as a bit too late at this stage.
still no release date for it and i have a feeling we will be waiting for a month or so for it.

Demon Hunter, Monk, Wizzard,Barbarian and Witch Doctor patch previews are up.

From what I can see its positive improvements for all classes, buffs to unpopular skills in a lot of cases.

I'm still playing a few hours a day but a lot of the excitement is gone out of it for me, I'm pretty much just farming ACT 1 inferno for the odd decent item, mostly junk at the moment. Hopefully the patch will improve this slightly... I can see the majority of players just moving directly to Guild Wars 2 when its released tbh.:rolleyes:

Seems that patch is going live tomorrow.
Also, there seems to have been some drama between jay wilson and former blizzard north employee david brevik(one of the creators of diablo and diablo2). Pretty nasty comments being thrown around on facebook over this interview.

I also like the new 100 level's being introduced. Brings something to aim for etc. the new items, upgrading again.

i have to say that 100 level thing is the best thing that can happen to diablo 3. i mentioned that above, that they had to remove that stupid 60lvl limit.

i am afriad to say it, but i am really looking forward to that patch. will it go live tomorrow night or tonighT?

Ooh! 100 levels? How is that implemented? I presume you'll still stop getting skills at 60 but just get more stats?

you dont get abilities, but you get stats and mf. this will make playing hardcore a lot more fun.

with legendary fix and 100 level thing diablo might pull it out this time...

I cant fcuking wait! I spent all yesterday evening scouring the AH for equipment that wasn't crazily priced to try to progress past the second area in Act 2 Inferno and I still got owned. That wasn't fun.

Now theres a chance.

not the best gear, but I can solo act 1 & 2 and most of act 3 inferno.
