Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi just wonder does anybody know the irish average dairy herd 80 to 100 ....no ??? herd of a fella near cashel co.tipp milking nearly 500 cows could that be right ???

Hmm from reading the agriculture2012 booklet that came in this weeks journal, its bang on 50cows, 80-100 would most certainly be considered large at the minute, but in the future the average size certainly is trending towards this figure, especially with more partnerships etc!

That's a very large herd, 50-60 i'd say is average, used to be a dairy farmer - can't imagine keeping track of 500 cows, you'd be up early anyway!
