New UPC installation and picture keeps freezing and digital box shutting down!!

    Help! Just moved into a new apartment had UPC package (tv,BB, and phone) installed. A technician came out to install it and everything appeared ok...until we tried to watch something...every 10-20 mins the screen freezes and the digital box shuts down. We have read reviews on UPC (after we made payment ofcouse) that the customer service isn't great, and that the digital tv can be troublesome. We calling them and have not had much joy. Where do we stand if we want to cancel the contract straight away...do we have a case?:confused:

    Had this problem with the first+ box we got,a massive silver ugly thompson thing. It was a faulty box, but took two separate calls for them to agree to replace it. Just insist it's broken and get them to replace it, seems top bea common enough problem

    Yes, that's the one we have...its massive for all it does! When you got your replacement box did all the problems resolve? We were just going to leave and go to Sky if the problems continued. If we have these problems all over Christmas I'll be gutted.

    Yeah, the replacement box that we got (much smaller, black one) works perfectly. Just ring them up and request a replacement box, preferably a neater one.
