Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Corolla Dump Valve

    hi guys,
    have a 2006 corolla 1.4 d4d with a 1nd-tv engine (the turbocharged one). my question is, how much would it cost me to put the dump valve on my car that can be heard :) would it involve much work and how complicated would it be. thanks :)

    1. They can be bought for under 100 euro
    2. Complicated no.

    By heard you mean loud. In which case it will never be as loud as a petrol engine as diesels don't have throttle bodies and the associated pressure build-up to dump.


    Personally I wouldn't do it on a any car as the factory quiet system works well.


    It is however a matter of personal preference but it is a cosmetic modification.
