    Hi Guys,

I'm not asking for medical advise here just a good doctor or specialist in town. I have been to a lot in the last 3 years but have had bad luck so far. I won't name and shame but all my GPs to date have misdiagnosed me for years. I was also referred to a specialist in the Galway clinic who diagnosed me without looking at records or X-Rays and proceeded to give me 200 euro injections which did not work.

I'm looking for a GP, preferably young as I'm thinking now it might be because I, myself am only 26 that some doctors just don't take me seriously or are disillusioned with the grind to the point they don't care. I'm willing to go to a good GP first and let him refer me back to a different specialist but want to go to a competent GP. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Ì've had good experiences with Galway Bay Medical Centre, they're young enough (well as young as you can be by the time you've qualified as a doctor and then done the GP specialisation).

Can you give us any clues what type of problem it is - a GP who specailises that field might be more helpful. (Understand fully if you don't want to, though.)

I don't mind at all, just worried about it going against rules for medical advise.

I think it might be arthritus. My last GP said that the X-ray showed thinning of the bone and that I should see a specialist. I requested the GP to fax the X-rays to the specialist. Showed up at the Hospital and it turns out the GP did not fax the X-Ray so he just fed me some BS story about the University Hospitals X-Ray machine have a high intense beam which sometimes makes the bone look thinner than it is, so he said it was just tennis elbow and gave me steroids injections. He told me if it hurts again to go back and get the injections again but having talked to friends who are doctors and the University Hospital I was told the X-Ray lark was complete ****e. So I'd rather not go back to him and have somebody that will actually look at my X-Rays and give a crap
