hi all, I'm looking for a steam engine kit, preferably something v similar to a Wilesco D9 kit, like this one: http://www.wilesco-uk.co.uk/wilesco-Kits.asp?part_id=100314

But cheaper & either available in Ireland or on-line that can ship v quickly!

I've googled & searched ebay but they are all a mad price.

    help!

That are great alright - real old school engineering toy.

I still have a very similar one I got in the 70's when I was very small - took it out recently to show my kids and they loved it.

We connected it to a normal electric motor with a rubber band and it was able to generate enough electricity to light a small light.

I used a white firelighter cut up in bits as fuel to get it going....

Only place i can think if looking would be Marks Models in Dublin

    - or the Model/RC Car shop on Capel St..
