    A pouch of tobacco (state weight, IE, 12.5, 25, 50g) when quoting price
    A pint of Guinness in pub
    A pint of beer in pub
    A rail ticket on Northern commuter line
    A bus ticket on Dublin Bus
    A bottle of coke in shop
    A bar of chocolate (Cadbury's) in shop
    A bag of Tayto or King in shop

    Approximations are fine

    I remember when tayto were 4p.

    just to add to the list,score cola was 15-20p a bottle,
    a pounds worth of penny sweats as about 2weeks supplies,never weighed them just handfull after handfull in the bag :)
