Rattle from the gearbox

Hi, I've noticed a rattle from around the gearbox from my 09 Yaris Luna, just where the counter weight is on the gear linkage. When the car is idle I can hear the rattle, but when the clutch is pressed the rattle goes also if I move the counter weight on the gearbox from side to side it stops...any idea what it could be. A…

Hi, I've noticed a rattle from around the gearbox from my 09 Yaris Luna, just where the counter weight is on the gear linkage. A friend reckons it could be a thrust bearing gone in the clutch? I have the car 3 months and bought it from a Toyota dealership but the clutch is not part of the warranty....but is the thrust bearing?
