Broadband Rathdonnell (Sockar/Trentagh) Area?

    Hi,
    Just wondering what the broadband options are in this area? Had thought about posting this in the broadband forum but as this is local thought I'd post here, but feel free to move it if need be :o

    Just wondering if anyone from that area has broadband and what performance is like. (Or knows of someone out there) Have heard someone in the area uses 3 Broadband via the mast but dont know what performance is like. With Smart at the minute so will be bit of a downgrade :(

    Best thing would be to find out what your nearest transmitter is (ie O2/Vodafone/three/Meteor etc) and get one of their dongles. You can return them within 14 days (statutory cooling off period) if the signal in the area is poor. Someone 100yards down the road could have a good signal and it could be poor or non existant in your house so basing your decision on someone elses experience isnt ideal in areas which are considered rural/remote.

    Woops, forgot about this thread.

    Yeah the neighbour apparently has 3 Broadband. You can see the mast from the house. Its not that far away. Anyone here on 3? Whats the service like (Speeds, ping etc)? I'd imagine it varies alot.

    There is a NWE mast in Churchill and one over the Kilmacrennan direction. The one in Kilmacrennan is just being blocked by trees surrounding a house over the road :(. Might be able to see the Churchill one though.
