Roll up roll up, come one come all and nominate your gigs of the year. I'll post up the acts most voted for early in 2012.

Here are the categories, feel free to vote in some, many or all of them.

Best Gig - Your Top 3 gigs of 2011 (in ireland)

Best Irish Festival - Nominate your favourite festival

Best Festival Performance (in ireland). Nominate your favourite act from an irish festival.

Best Promoter. Who's bringing over the bands you go and see.

Best Festival (including overseas). Nominate 1 festival in Ireland or elsewhere you attended.

Best Gig/Festival Performance (outside ireland). One gig or festival performance from outside Ireland.

Also thanks to all of you for contributing to Gigs/Events during the year. You're a great bunch of lads.

Just wondering is there a particular reason MCD got your promoter of the year when every gig you listed is Aiken/POD. Not a criticism, genuine interest.

Not been to as many single gigs as usual this year. Not enough drew me up to the pale compared to other years.

    Best Gig -
    1. Warpaint - Tripod
    2. Wild Beasts - Academy
    3. The Joy Formidable - Whelans

Best Irish Festival - Electric Picnic

    Best Festival Performance (in ireland).
    1. Arcade Fire - EP
    2. Pulp - EP
    3. Ash - Indiependance (for nostalgia)

Best Festival (including overseas). Electric Picnic

I was at Primavera but I don't like not being able to get beer/water/soft drinks after a sweaty subway ride, queueing for an hour in line, eating food in 30 degree heat because the shoddy & flawed system was stupid and failed on first night. Also getting assaulted by security for doing nothing is not cool

    Best Gig/Festival Performance (outside ireland).
    1. Interpol - Apolo Barcelona
    2. The National - Primavera
    3. PiL - Primavera
Only Aiken gig there was The Frames. EP is POD/Festival Republic and Foster The People was MCD

Foster the People was MCD in the olympia, he was not listing their Olympia gig but the EP gig.

Bitter with Aiken 'cos Bruce is on a week night at the RDS rather than on the weekend at Slane.
