Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He does have a disclaimer there about still needing a converter, so does anyone out there know what the story is?

This is a well known scam , very common on ebay and also from third party sellers on the likes of Amazon and so on ,

Converter or no , this item has cannot possibly work. Anything with an analog output would not be using a hdmi connector , likewise any interface with an analog input would not be using a HDMI connector.

Even if you did have a converter , HDMI output or input would not be on analog connections to digital connections , it would be all HDMI.

The business model behind this con is that the item is cheap , when you find out it doesnt work , the cost of return postage is on you , and its simply not worth it.

A USB to hdmi or a USB to Dvi is much simpler and more cost effective (dvi to hdmi cable would still be needed but the USB to Dvi is a little easier to find)
