Cracking bit of business by PSG. Most French journos are saying this will be definitely concluded tomorrow. Large part of me didn't think they'd sign a bigger or similar quality player in that of Pastore. Proved me wrong.

So Ac should prob get Tevez now with Pato gone ?

    Should be the case alright.

Hope AC go for him. Could see City looking for Sneijder as part of any deal with Inter for Tevez.

When was the last time a French team won the champions league? Methinks PSG have a serious chance next year if they make a couple more quality signings in the summer transfer window.

1993, believe it or not. Marseille were the last French team to win it.

First year in the Champions League in a very long time, the likelihood is they'll struggle to cope with the demands of both league and CL even with European experience in both players and coach (Ancelotti) at the helm.

Got some excellent players in the squad atm - Gameiro, Pastore, Menez, Nene, Sahko and now Pato but still to improve the overall quality of the squad.

Thing in their favour unlike Lille recently and Lyon to a lesser extent. They can afford to keep their players and continue to imrpove. Lille losing Remi, Caybaye and Gervinho was a massive blow for them, Hazard and Sow look like they'll be moving on to.

edit -forgot to say, very much looking forward to seeing an attack of Menez, Pastore, Nene, Pato and Gameiro link up now.

Tevez want's AC Milan, it's been reported he isn't interested in joining Inter. The Pato money should make this deal a formality.

    Pato isn't going anywhere.

    Translated:
    I stay at Milan

Blackburn to lose Samba and more than likely Hoilett. Samba has confirmed he's "resigned to change". Roughly translated - I'm not hanging around while the club freefalls through the Leagues under Venkys/Steve Kean.

Gonna hurt Blackburn's charge for those CL places in the future.

Sky Sports reporting that Hodgson want's Noel Hunt at West Brom. Seems like just a rumour though. Not sure if it would be a good move for him, most likely he'd just warm the bench.

He would only be 4th choice, unless this signals that Cox is on the move. WBA also being linked with a move for Nicky Maynard, good player but I do not think he is up to PL standard.

It seems Tevez deal to Milan has collapsed due to the Pato deal being called off. Inter now for Tevez? Don't see how Inter could afford a permanent deal with their financial situation which is what Man City want.

Milan's bid for Tevez was never dependent on a sake if any player. Max said this morning he believed Pato would stay and the club had no intention if selling him. Tevez us a direct replacement for Cassano. If Pato left it would just mean Milan would to sign two strikers instead of one.

Moratti said today that he'd given up in Tevez as the player only wants Milan.

Well Sky and most respected journalists on twitter have more or less said that the deal is off and now the Guardian are running with the story. And Cassano is completely different to tevez, Cassano like playing behind the front 2 a bit like Robinho so I couldn't see Tevez being a replacement for him.

Milan have been saying since early December the only striker they will sign will be to replace Cassano. I never said he was like Cassano, just a replacement for. Cassano plays as one of a front 2, always.

The other player Milan are looking at is Catania's Maxi Lopez. If the Tevez deal us dead it's because they decided to go for him.

Inter would get the better deal, Wesley is injury prone and living off a reputation he earned several seasons ago.

Galliani has said that Milan won't sign Tevez.
Adriano Galliani has confirmed Alexandre “Pato decided to stay, so we have given up on Carlos Tevez. He won’t be coming to Milan.”

The Vice-President was in London for final negotiations with Manchester City and was all set to use the €35m from Pato’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain in order to prise away the Argentine.

However, late this afternoon Pato turned down the PSG transfer, so Galliani flew back to Milan this evening.

“Pato decided to stay, so we have given up on Tevez. He won’t be coming to Milan,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia at the Linate Airport.

“The two transfer operations were linked and all of them had various clauses. I believe in fate and remember that when Gianluca Vialli said no, then we brought in Marco Van Basten. If Pato wants to remain, then we hope he will do well with Milan.

“We have the utmost faith in the strikers at our disposal, also trusting in Antonio Cassano’s swift return, as he will become our big new signing.”

Cassano is expected to be out until the end of the season after surgery on a congenital heart defect.

“Will Tevez go to Inter? I have considered this as a possibility, but prefer to keep it to myself. I am in any case very happy that Pato has made this decision.

“I do know what is happening with Tevez, but don’t want to comment right now. Will we call Manchester City again? We’ll see.”
It will be interesting to see what he is talking about at the end there. I'm not sure how I would feel if Inter sign him, I don't like him for his actions off the pitch and his attitude will probably be disruptive, but on the pitch he is excellent and Inter need that.

They have been trying to get him, and have apparently offered more than anyone else, but it looks like he doesn't want to go there. If Inter do get him then it is time to get rid of Sneijder, but I can't see why anyone would pay the money for Sneijder when you consider his wage demands, maybe City would give Tevez and Kolarov for him.

QPR the bookies favorite to sign Tevez now. Crazy.

There's probably speculation because of the Mark Hughes/Kia Joorabchian link.

You'd normally say we're getting him for near enough nothing... but since we've got no money this means we won't sign anyone for at least another 4 years. And that doesn't include all the cost of all the damage he'll do to the Park End with his row Z blasters!

I am no supporter of Darren Gibson, but 500k is a bloody bargain.

I can only assume United will be due varying levels of extra compensation pending Everton's league position over the next few seasons?

I think Moyes missed the boat on Rodwell. I can't see any club splashing out anywhere near the £20m that was originally being tossed about. Let's face it, he is a CB who can't get into the starting Everton team atm. How much would he expect to get for him? But yeah, whatever he does get is surely worth more than what Gibson will bring.

I do hope Gibson will make the move as otherwise it will be any easy decision for Trap to leave him out of the Euro squad.
