    Wheeeeeeeeeee!
Sneeted the whole way in from Goatstown to Parkwest, some nice dusting along the edges of the road where the stupid cars hadn't melted it away. Happy to be back on the winter tyres on the Mountainbike! Bring it on all day!!!!!!!

    Rain now at Dublin Airport.

The Met Éireann aviation chart for 1200 shows sleet and graupel showers, with occasional snow showers north of 54N. Freezing level 2000 ft (600 m).

For eastern Ulster, Isle of Man, northwest England and southwestern Scotland, occasional/frequent sleet and graupel showers, with occasional snow showers over land.

I thought anything under 150m wasnt getting snow?

Did things change suddenly in the last 2 hours in dublin?

Did things change suddenly in the last 2 hours in dublin?

It has snowed to lower levels than I thought. The clearer skies than were forecast last night allowed a more severe frost than I had anticipated, cooling the lowest layers more and allowing the falling snow to survive.

I would say it will be around 100 m during the day.

Was a whiteout in Dublin 15 (Castleknock) at around 8.20...quite heavy...lovely and white..a decent covering. When I arrived in Portymarnock...nothing but frost...:D:D:D

I cannot believe it snowed in Cork City though....good for you!

Midlands of UK is the place to be !

Drove from Surrey to Southampton and sleet most of the way. The midlands is indeed quite bad, as is Scotland and anywhere with high ground. Nothing down on the south coast as yet, but we are very close to the sea.

I'd say that anything that comes now will be rain or at best sleet (except of course to higher ground).

Only small amounts of snow during the night around the northside Cork City, a little heavier in the countryside heading north but the ice underneath was more of a concern this morning.

Small covering during the night in Palmerstown.

Were getting a few light flakes of snow now in Belfast - it looks like where I am is just on the edge of the cloud that's delivering it. Just hope it comes further south:)

My first snow since January 2010, believe it or not. Not exactly snowman making depths as you can see

    6034073

Air temp and dew point rising throughout the morning and any snow slowly beginning to melt.

Snow will be confined to above 200-250m in most places bar Ulster where the snowline could drop to 100m
