Know they finished the LOI season not long ago, but I think six straight losses looks very poor, in a competition far inferior to the Champions League.

Probably like Spurs really. Not good enough to win your own league or the champions league and kidding yourself that the odd FA cup and A run in the Europa League is not your level.

Post echoes and reinforces my point.

You're deliberately trying to wind Spurs fans up. No points to debate, no position to defend or put forward, just a repetitive mantra. :)

Yeah but its true though. Nothing in particular against Spurs, merey stating facts bud.

I don't think that there are too many Spurs fans out there who genuinely think we are truly champions league winning standard. But it is the standard the club and its supporters aspire to. Compared to 3-4 years ago we are a vastly improved club / team. 3 years ago we would have taken the EL a bit more seriously than we did this year and like it or not that is a sign that we are moving away from the level of the odd FA cup etc.

    Aren't they all, these days.

Some funny chants tonight. "Does your telly know you're here" (aimed at the Irish spurs)...

    "you should be in jail"

According to RTE he made a "fist" gesture towards the Rovers fans

    Here's a few examples for you :)

Throughout the discussion tonight and indeed starting the discussion Spurs, Spurs fans and staff have been labelled at various times, knob ends, pathetic, barstoolers, also rans, lacking in pedigree etc

I personally consider that to be a form of trolling. I'm not saying that similar hasn't come back the other way but it's not an exclusive abuse of LOI fans that you alluded to.

BOOM post of the thread. Some LOI fans play the victim role better than bloody Liverpool fans do and that's saying something.:pac:

Can i just say, fair play to spurs, best team on the night and no complaints about them or any of their Goals, but the Referee was fúckin shocking, peno for Rovers turned down, defo peno, peno for spurs turned down, could've gone either way, but looked a pen at the time, Patterson offside with ball in the back of the net, blind linesman, never offside, as replays suggest, Sheppard being brought down, nothing given but again replays show spurs player leaning into his back with his arm around him, should've been sent off, I could go on and on, this fella shouldn'nt be reffing schoolboy football, he spoilt what should have been a good spectable with his bad descisions for both sides

    21/25

I'm far from a Rovers fan but that display tonight is class. The Mile Buiochas one is a marvellous Irish touch and the Heroes of Belgrade one is amazing.

Fair play to the SRFC Ultras.

    ps F*ck Rovers ordinarily ;)

What's the deal with a Rovers thread where I find myself agreeing with CSF fighting the arduous fight in it? There is no precedent for this, I don't know how to react...

On the game, I thought Spurs were the poorest of the three sides I've seen in Tallaght, the two sides who deserved to go through...did. Peers and Heary have handled Twigg and Sheppard better than Livermore and Kaboul did. I thought SOD did better coming on for Rice, Sullivan had a nightmare in the first half. PAOK fans by far and away the loudest visitors and most in number too.

We have played one real game since a very long season ended. That spurs side had real quality in it. We turned in some good performances in Europe this season.
