Simple PXE Server

Is there any software out there that can be run on a server or standalone PC that will allow me to PXE boot to install OS,s.

I have been playing around with server 2008R2 and am pulling my hair out , DHCP is working on the server as i have it set up in virtualbox and have another XP virtualbox picking up its IP from it.

I set up the windows deployment role and followed the insructions from this site....

I am thinking maybe its a DNS issue and am a bit lost to be honest.

I might be off track, but Debian/Ubuntu is easy to configure to act as a PXE server.

That looks great but unfortunatly im trying to set it up for winsows installes arather than linux.

I just want to be able to boot off a server and install windows as if it was from the DVD..rather than making.wim files and all that malarky.

It all works the same. You just create the boot options for the Windows net boot files and load the files into the directories. tftp then serves the files to the PXE client once it's picks up the PXE server location from DHCP.
