Could someone recommend a basic GFX card for this system please?
Maybe something that could be used for WOW or similar type games

    AMD Athlon II X2 250
ASRock N68-S3 UCC, Sockel AM3, mATX
    Samsung SpinPoint F3 250GB
    Super-Flower 400W

    thanks

    This system isn't built yet?
I'd avoid the super flower PSUs that are not from the amazon series, the cheapest being the 450W one.

What resolution are we talking about here? If it's just WOW and lighter games at lower resolution, the most recent AMD and Intel integrated graphics will run them fairly well. If it's 1920x1080 and you want high details, with more recent games, you will need to invest a bit more.

Given that you've chosen bottom rung components, I wouldn't like to make any assumptions on how much you are willing to spend, so what's your budget (and resolution of current monitor)?

If that is your build a 5770 would be a good choice and should prob be able to pick one up second hand.

Otherwise a 6770 if buying new. Best match for that system Id say.

At that resolution and given the rest of the system, I would agree that a 6770 or 550ti is about the area of power that you would be looking at, around the €100 mark.
