Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The latest rumour in the last hour going around is that Balotelli is dressed up like santa driving around Manchester handing out money to random people. The man is an absolute legend.
This along with his previous stuff has made him 1 of my favourite footballers despite being a Man Utd fan.

An entertaining character, no doubt and its good to have characters like him around. Hope he does something characteristically crazy tomorrow, early sending off would be great

I have one simple request. Please let this be true!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,521 ✭✭✭Giggsy11

Acting like a retard means he is entertainer?

I like his antics but he does it very often they are not funny anymore.

A very wealthy footballer handing out money to less fortunate randomers means he is retard?

The world could do with more people going around giving away money and less people going around riding the wives/girlfriends of their teammates/brothers/friends.

There is already a big Mario Appreciation thread here somewhere, maybe merge them both?

FWIW he is a legend, although can be very infuriating as a city fan!

The guy is 21. Most guys i know his age are in college taking part in eejitic antics, all his money is not gonna make fellas like that suddenly mature.

Anyways as long as no one loses an eye then the stories are entertaining. And of course i hope he fecks up citys chances against arsenal today!

So these santa stories are just bs as confirmed by city (according to twitter).

He was supposed to know that how?

Considering the OP mentioned the Santa thing, it makes sense to think you were talking about it.

Why click on appreciation thread to bad mouth him?

Surely it would make more sense to just not click on the thread?

I personally think he is amazingly entertaining. Every weekend I hope he does something new!

Again, he's a City player, so I should despise him. But for the life of me I can't. I call it the Ladotelli Paradox.

Jimmy Bullard, plays for sub standard teams , pulls pranks, acts like a head case and enjoys himself = Legend.

Mario Balotelli, plays for a top team , pulls pranks, acts like a head case and enjoys himself = Clown/Retard/Eejit.

Come off the stage people, Balotelli is a breath of fresh air and football needs more like him.

    <3 Balotelli.

anyone see the huge differences between Italian and English football, culture here? in Italy he was doing similar things, got bad mouthed in the papers weekly, Mourinho tried to get rid of him and he got a boot up the hole by Totti for his troubles. Over in England the majority like him and think he's a legend. **** it i like him aswell, better than that boring ****e Giggs anyways who's nothing but a sneak underneath it all.

    Messi?
    Really? and what of Messi

What of him Messi is lucky to be surrounded by the players he has, He flops everytime he plays for Argentina proving this, People seem to completly miss the fact hes a diver for some reason, Cristiano is the best in the world at the moment had one bad game against barca and suddenly he flops at the big stage. In 3 years time imo itll be Ronaldo, Balotelli & Neymar!
Imo the best 3 now are Cristiano, Zlatan & Xavi but hey thats just me I cant help but not follow the sheep

Nah, it's simpler than that. Messi is not a lad.

If you have a Ronaldo > Messi agenda then ya can take it over to http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056447369&page=7

For the record, Ronaldo flops against bigger teams on regular occasions and gets the majority of his golas in braces against the lower teams, flip side of that coin is Messi gets the majority of his goals at the Camp Nou in braces against all manner of teams.

But as I said, better off over in http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056447369&page=7

I'm very fond of the lad and the media media scrutiny has only increased it.

At worst he acts like a lad in his early twenties in a foreign country with lots of money. At best he's a happy well meaning individual.

Another classy act from him recently against Chelsea when he called Sturridge over to shake hands when he was substituted, you rarely see that during games.

And yet if he was a Man U player you'd be calling him "king" or "god"

And thats why i posted the comparisson to Bullard, because Balotelli plays for the evil Man City, opposition fans loathe him more then like him.

Personally, been a Chelsea fan, I enjoy watching him play and seeing what antics he gets up to. I wouldnt call him a clown pr anything, hes a young guy enjoying his football and living his life.

BS. He was like this even at Inter and many didn't like him then also. Nothing to do with City.
