Here are some images from the OSI site showing changes over time to an area near Enniskerry, County Wicklow. The red crosshairs mark the spot.
The site was excavated in 2002 (see here).
Today, the excavated area is a golf course - another example of the wonderful legacy of the celtic tiger, no doubt.

On a side note, has anyone here ever used or gained access to the CUCAP aerial photographs of Ireland (the Fairey Survey) ?

Just noticed that there are no dates attached to the photos :o
The first, is of course, from the 1840 OSI 6" map.
The second is from 2000 and the third is 2005.

We noticed your post here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056526295 regarding the missing photos above.

Just to let you know that we've investigated and it appears that you deleted the photos on Pixie and hence they are no longer on our servers.

Furthermore, your account is set to private which breaks the links and is against our T&Cs for posting images on forums!

Apologies for the off topic post, I'd have posted on the help desk thread if it had not already been closed.

    Marcus
