Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone successfully used a dye over it? Mine is growing out and I'm tired of the upkeep. I know you can't bleach over it as it makes the hair porous. Thanks!

I use a semi permamanent blonde-brown over my faded-to-hell-but-not-gone henna. I was hugely apprehensive about putting it in because I was worried that my hair would go a mad colour or snap off so I cut out a strand first and checked the dye on it. I'd test the dye you're going to use first and steer well clear of permanent colours

Jenizzle posted this link for me ages back when I was first sick to hell of the henna upkeep/having red hair but worried about the effects of dye. It explains what can happen with hair dye or bleach & henna

I would honestly avoid doing so. My friend is a hairdresser and she told me that dyeing over henna basically pushes the henna deeper in the hair? OR something like that anyway. Basically, it can change your original hair colour for life, but not necessarily in a good way!
