Not far from the middlands I think but kind of North Mid-East of Ireland but its in the Republic! Its inland so not on the coastline.

Sligo and roscommon be the nearest mentioned but still a bit from them. Those counties aren't far from it but wouldn't border the county in question.

Best clue I can give, its not far from a couple of loughs!

Nearest borders are leitrim, longford and westmeath.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 786 ✭✭✭aw

    Castleblayney, Co Monaghan?

    Nevermind....

    Somewhere in Cavan so....

No. But you are on the right track. The county in question borders monaghan but the village be a little bit away from that town. Good guess though!

Ya correct county aw. Though your other guess be south west of that town.

I give another clue, the town name sounds like a place in Mayo but has a slightly different and longer spelling but I think they are probably pronounced the same!

    Someone should get it now...;)

    Ballina?

    Edit: Ballinagh.

One more clue, close to three place names one of these are very close to the town in question. Leitrim, Longford, Mullingar, Kells and Carrick-on-Shannon.
