Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What do you guys think? I deactivated iMessage on my phone and my wife's for now, just in case.

With the free texts on our plans and the fact that I know only one other person that uses it, it's no big deal.

It was nice to send video as there is no size restriction like there is in the email app.

    Read this, sounds like hokum.

I have over 400 people on iMessage, so it's perfect for my needs.

I wouldn't say it's hokem. Lots of people have been reporting this problem long before this article came out.

It's just something for people to keep in mind.

Yeah, there was someone on here a while ago who sold their iPhone and was having this problem. It's obviously a bug and will hopefully be fixed in the next update. It's getting blown out of proportion as usual by the blogs. It wouldn't put me off using iMessage. Especially since some of the networks charge you for turning it on.

Here's loads more drivel on the subject

So many factual errors, it would be tedious to comment (do they do this stuff on purpose?) but any 3 Ireland customer could inform this writer that yes, you are charged are forced to re-activate every time you sim-swap or deactivate-reactivate.

Is it only 3 that charge for turning it off and on?

Not necessarily. But the PITA is that every time it gets changed it sends an SMS to a virtual British number. Some operators (O2) waive this, others don't.

This ridiculous scenario means that, alone in Europe, British customers don't get charged, but most other Europeans do, from Ireland to Italy.

In addition when activating within the state, you will be charged 25c for the foreign SMS. Go to Belfast and you'll only be charged 13c. Lunacy.

    Vodafone charge for it.

I didn't get charged to switch on iMessage with Vodafone, or am I missing something?
