Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

went out to the shed this morning to see a 13 month old free-martin bulling (we've no intention of even attempting to bull her, far too young and a bit on the small side anyway), but I'm just wondering, does this mean that she's one of the 10% thats ok breeding wise, or do free-martins come bulling anyway and just not keep?

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, still not used to the system here :D

I think 10% is optimistic. Something telling me it's more like half that, or 5% that will breed, but what ever the %, I've only had a couple and havent seen one bulling so you could be lucky!
Only one way to find out...............;).

Its all down to how damaged the reproductive tract is. She may have ovaries working but the tubes could be damaged or missing.
One side of the uterus may be missing and this, while not ideal, would still allow for a pregnancy as long as there was a functioning ovary on that side.

    Or, she could be normal.
