Anyone reccomend how/how long to cook it for?
Maybe even to cook on xmas eve and leave a while to put it back in on xmas day to finish it off?

I do 25mins per 450g, on a low heat, with the lid on. For you that means approximately 3 hours 40 minutes. That should do ya grand!

Depends if it's on the bone. If it's on the bone then your original calculations are right, otherwise neuro-praxis is right. Remember to leave it sit for about 20 mins also before you carve it.
