Blackberry Curve 8520 Purchase Query

    I'm a meteor customer.

    Was looking to purchase the blackberry 8520 curve, but I see that its 130 or 100 if you swap over from another network?

    Would it serve me so to just purchase a vodafone/02 sim card, and then ''change over'' straight away, thus saving myself twenty quid (assume it will cost me a tenner for a sim card from another network)



    you dont get any free credit with these phones anyway so that doesnt really come into play.

    I suppose my query is - ''is there a time limit between getting a new sim card and being able to switch over to another network on it'' ?

    could i literally buy a sim card, and switch over later that day.
