ipod vs laptop??????????

Hi all just curios which is more practial for 12 year old ,and can games be played on ipod thanks in advance ,.

For a 12 year old, the iPod is a safe bet. The smaller screen may become an issue depending on what he/she wants to do, but the laptop is likely to get infected with malware eventually and will need replacing in probably 3/4 years. The iPod will be updated on a nearly annual basis, but even a very old one will still work well. The iPod touch that's out now has a camera built in, so apart from the smaller screen it will do everything a 12 year old will need, IMO.

On the iPhone you can set parental control for web browsing, so I assume that you can do likewise on the iPod.

thanks for your replies and yes i meant ipod touch which santa got:) him and have to say that it was well received ,much more practical and safer to a certain degree aswell ,thanks again .
