Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

From what I've read about the HD448s they don't do so well off weak sources like phones and iPods and need some kind of amplification to sound good with them. Sound quality is meant to be very good with then if they're amped properly. An amp will cost you between £10 and £20 if you go with a Fiio one E5 or E6 or whatever.

The Koss Portapros will run well off a phone or iPod with no amp though. Sound quality excellent for the price as you probably know. They'll still benefit from an amp but it isn't the requirement that it is with the 448s.

From what I've read the HD 448s will edge it slightly for sound quality for some people but will cost you more because of the need for an amp to get the full quality out of them. The amp also adds something you need to remember to charge which could be an annoyance too far!
