Xbox live won't download update HELP?

    OK, So just bought a new membership card and now to connect to Xbox live (To allow me to access account management) It asks me to download an update but when I try it says 'Can't connect to xbox live', Help?

    Go to the Settings menu, then to Network, then select "Test Xbox Live Connection". Let us know what the results are.

    Also, what type of Xbox do you have?
