    Hey Folks,

We're after getting a Lurcher pup and listening to what folks have been telling me it seems that it's a good idea to let them off the leash and run free. However being a sight-hound they need an enclosed space. I see several other people in Balbriggan with Lurchers or Greyhounds and I'm wondering if there is somewhere I could let her off the leash to exercise/tire herself out. I don't think the beach would be suitable.

Can anyone tell me somewhere that might be?

Theres a decent sized green at the entrance to Fancourt Heights on the Skerries Road.

I've a lurcher (whippet x gsd) who is ten and very well socialised and we take her to our local estate that has a big green in Swords, and to Malahide beach.

She loves other dogs so if you ever fancy meeting up pm me :)

You need to teach lurchers good recall from the start, helps a load. I'd a red setter once who got amnesia off the lead, and I'd to train my gsd to fetch him, I used stand there shouting "jake, fetch Reg!"
