Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

foundation recommendations? BT voucher :D

so, got a lovely 100 euro voucher for BTs for christmas. Want to get a nice new foundation and maybe someting else nice with the change if there is any. Over the years I've gone from clinique (which was... okay, nothing wrong but nothing spectacular) to prescriptives (amazing, made my skin look like porcelin) to maxfactor (cheap and cheerful, but finding it a bit sheer). The reason for the switch to maxfactor was purely budget based - 4 years of college takes its toll on the poor old bank balance.

I would be happily running back to prescriptives but they're gone. Boo-urns. Basically I'm looking for something full coverage. Not overly keen on the whole "dewy" look as I think it just makes my skin look a bit greasy - I've dry combination skin though so I guess whatever I get can't be too matte either or it might just sit on my cheeks and be like "hello, I am foundation, here for all to see me!". Yeah.

Anybody got some recommendations? It will primarily be an evenings and good wear foundation. I've recently switched from daytime foundation to BB cream.

I would recommend Double Wear by Estee lauder, they will do a colour match and it lasts ages. It does take some removal but they have a gorgeous cleanser to melt away the foundation.

I have been a MAC girl for years but a friend of mine reccomended Benifet...so I tried it and I LOVE it!!!! It goes on so smooth and flawless...doesn't even feel like I'm wearing makeup!! Last for ages too...I wear a lot of foundation but I still have the compact I bought in March. They do a great concealer too...and a product called posy tint is a must!;) use it on your lips and cheeks...lasts all day:p

I find Dior 'Forever' foundation excellent. It has really coverage. I usually find it incredibly difficult to get a foundation which is light enough for my skin and isn't drying. This foundation met my requirements!

Afaik, Chanel have a new foundation out at some stage in January. If I was lucky enough to have a BT voucher, that's what I'd be spending it on. I've used Chanel Vita Lumiere and I loved it so I'm really excited to see what the new one is like.

Actually, your best bet would be to get some samples and try them out, see what you like the most and what works for you. Then at least you wouldn't waste your voucher based on a recommendation 'cause ya know, different people like different things and all that.
