Downing take note, thats how you beat a player and put in a dangerous cross. Excellent stuff from Enrique, Adam and of course, Bellamy, the only player in the Liverpool side I'd have confidence of putting away that opportunity.

Can anyone on here explain to me, why players when defending corners don't look at the ball but look at the player they are defending against, I have no idea why they do it.

I play football at a local level but I don't understand players doing it.

Whats the point of Carroll if we can't put the ball on his head from corners,freekicks etc... He is offering nothing else at all for the team. I'd have him off in the second half and put Kuyt up front instead. Really have lost patience with him.

What the **** is Andy Carroll doing? Why wouldn't he get into the box when Downing had the ball? He needs to learn that he is a number 9 and not an attacking midfielder.

I have to say I feel sorry for Carroll, it was just a bad signing overall. He is just not suited to this style of play at all. A team who try to play a fluid game should not have him playing up front its just not going to work.

If he'd stayed at Newcastle he'd probably have banged them in this season with a more direct approach
