zip(sorry no Met radar, i shouldnt have posted one either!)

It could make it across......but temp is 3.1C and dp 0.8C (I'm not sure what that implies but it seems too high all around!)

The Mayo "blob" is heading my way! its 1.0 C here

That band brought nothing but a light shower of rain here (40m asl), ye might be luckier further east.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,310 ✭✭✭Trogdor

Good to see some people are getting some of the white stuff tonight! Even if it makes it to me i don't see much other than cold rain here on the coast unless something changes soon.. Currently 5.1C/0.4C.

Seeing snapshots of this band on another site, with the precip. color coded, the Northern end of this band is snow/rain, further south is mostly rain, but, its getting more and more wintry as time goes by, so fingers crossed it turns wintry before it get's to me :D

A mixture of hailstone and snow here in Kerry! I wouldn't expect a whiteout in the morning though! as it seems to be melting

Mmmmmm. Is my plane going to be able to land at Knock tomorrow?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,550 ✭✭✭Min

Temperature took a sudden dip from 1.6C to 1.4C after being stable for about an hour.
Dewpoint -1.0C as snow approaches...well I can't see anything else falling.
The radar shows the band of precipitation is getting more and more organised as it moves across the country.

I'm not 100%...it's a paid subscription, I think Netweather and raintoday have them. :)

Temps holding steady here around 2 degrees, dewpoint hovering around 0 too.

EDIT: Looking below, it seems the band has fully transitioned into wintry precip...nice one.

    fair play Darkman!

I thought you were once you gave them credit or included a link but boards.ie is a for-profit organisation(correct description?) so it's a no-no.

Brief blast of hail followed up by some driving sleet just now.

Lots of hail and bit of snow here in Craughwell Galway :)

Precip just reached us here in Kildare, just rain ATM, hard to see anything you'd even call sleet in it.
