Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I first saw that on 9Gag and thought it was a joke but it's real. WTF were the parents thinking

It became an internet sensation because some airline employee took a picture of the boarding pass and posted it on social media. The mother overheard the employees laughing as the name and got upset. The employees acted unprofessional but the mother is an idiot. She is setting her daughter up for a life of ridicule.

Russell is ok on its own but there used to be a guy in my class called Russell Magee. Suppose it’s better then if he was called Ulick but the vice principle used to say “where is Magee” in the gruffest voice which used to give us a chuckle....

Well the mother is a "full time mummy " and the father is a "full time mad bastard" according to FB so i doubt their inspiration came from Latin or Basketball.
I'd guess that shes a fan of Kylie Jenner and, with the baby being a boy, made the best of it.

That reminds me, do you think Brits/ Americans believe that McAnally is a real name?

    Sounds like something from Superbad.

Superbad would have been a very different movie if it was McAnally instead of McLovin.

    Like why even bother?
Ruby and Rubeigh sound the exact same when said aloud.
It won't make her unique or different, it'll just be a pain in the ass of constantly having to say "My name is Ruby but I spell it with an -eigh instead of a Y at the end".

Reminds me of the girl I know that called her kid Leanna but decided to spell it Liyhanna. I intuitively would pronounce that as "Leh-hannah" but who needs phonetics when you can be cre8iv like that.

No. Just "Ruby" with a dickhead spelling, which is actually worse.

It is a real name though! At least as a surname, not a first name..

Ask Aonghus McAnally, with the many-stringed bow of presenter, musician, billiards player and RTE darling!

    Giggity.

    Bit like yourself?
But you wouldn't have to cease. The only way you'd get near a woman is if you worked in a funeral home.

Frankly the baby is cute, the father is handsome and the mother is pretty. They clearly have good genes.

    I reported your post.

So good genes is solely about looking good?
They chose a rather ridiculous name for their child, they proceeded to go with the attention the name brought & go to the newspaper (or at least agree to the article) meaning they got more attention & their 10 seconds of fame.
A child is not a pet, you shouldn't just name them anything you bleeding well want to.

It would be fine to say 'Disney' to identify the child and her parents is disgusting.
