Because it is a photo I never set out to take but when the chance came -took quite well I think ( with a 20 old nikon lens) I'll go for this one

love this so much.... i was back home... it was -4C outside, but i was bundled up well.. didn't feel the cold. was out from 7.15am.... crisp air... frost... beautiful sunrise. it was so quiet out. a special moment while out on my own...

Only got my SLR in September/October so there all my favourite so far
But this one always comes to mind for some reason.

I really should crop out the rubbish bins on either side, or indeed be more aware of the composition when i go to take a similar pic again, but i suppose thats what we learn at each photo.

This was the highest mountain I ascended this year. It was a 16 hour round hike. There was an ominous stillness in the air and formidable weather systems rolling in from all aspects. No two days in the mountains are ever the same, the lighting on this day was, in my opinion, perfect.

It's a toss up between a couple, but this one probably stands out for me. As with most things, the shots you planned sometimes don't come out, and the shots you pulled off in spur of the moment can be the most memorable.
