    Hello!
We just moved here and I am looking for a basketball team for my 10 year old. He played 2 years in Italy and would like to continue. It doesn't seem like a big sport for kids here, does anyone have any advice where to look?
    Thanks!

Hi , you could contact basketball Irelands competitions section and ask for local schools / junior league teams in the area. Try the "get active" sports link site for further information. Most community halls/school gyms will have a notice board or just ask at the reception desk in these halls.Google sports in you area also!
    Hope this helps.

My kids have been playing basketball for a couple years now and haven't had a match in the D15 area. Looking at the www.DMBB.net website there seems to be little on the N3 corridor. You'd be looking as far as I can see at either Tolka near Finglas www.tolkaroversbasketball.com , St Vincents in Glasnevin http://www.stvincentsbasketball.com or Swords near the airport http://swordsbasketball.net .

Lots of EFBL clubs in Dublin 15 www.efbl.ie but they seem to be a Adult League but they may have a kids version.

As said above there isnt much out D15 way but i would highly recommend Tolka as a former player and coach for the club it has an excellent youth system, as well as an academy for the development of under age players connected to it.

This academy deals with all the schools in the area which keeps them active 5 days a week trainning children of all ages with camps run regularly.

If you want some contact info for the head of the academy pm me if he will help you in everyway he can even if it means helping you join a different club.

Hi I live in Tyrrelstown and my daughter of 19 has left school and is looking for somewhere local to play. They have built a few courts in the area but I can't find out about any teams. She can drive to other areas but I don't want her going to far.
    Anyone any ideas?
