The besafe will do till they are aprox 4. As it's rear and forward you wont have to buy a forward facing when the rear facing is too small.
    Which besafe one?

I did not realise that they sold it. We have them and they are brilliant.

Ya they sell the full range. We can put it forward facing when she is big enough all though its not isofix when forward facing. You can buy the isofix forward facing one too..

oh cool, I have it rear facing isofix(http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_5002+2298_10751_-1_14552_141324_10001_) for the 3 year old. Never realised it could be turned though I would imagine that it would be super complicated.
Though I think anything with out isofix is complicated;)

Tony Kealys is actually cheaper for it - http://www.tonykealys.com/be-safe-izi-combi-isofix.html

Funnily enough that ad dont mention the forward facing bit unless there is several different variants of the seat. I shall report back tomorrow with more info..

http://www.hts.no/en/products/izicombi_isofix_functions.php it mentions forward facing there.
No idea how to turn it though.

tatranska - That is one tall child.
My 3 year old is just over 3ft and is as tall or taller then the other kids in school.
Supposedly they should be about twice the height they are on their 2nd birthday when they are fully grown.

We ended up buying nothing in the end. My wife leaves the baby with her mother every morning in the present car seat and if she goes anywhere its only takes a couple of seconds to put the seat in her car.

The Besafe seat takes ages to remove and install properly so it wouldnt be feasible to remove everyday..

I've got it down to a fine art at this stage. It doesnt take as long as it seems.

Would it be feasibe 4 times a day though. Its a lot of rooting and tearing its a pity you cannot click it into a base.

Saoirse is 9 months old now and can sit up all day on her own so I bought this.. http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_763177_langId_-1_categoryId_212579

I got it for 210 euro with my Axa card. I have to say its really well padded and is very very sturdy as in you cannot shift it an inch even.

Hi folks. Our daughter is almost 6 months old and is too big for the baby elegance car seat.

I want to get her a new rear facing seat thats very cumfy for her as the one we have makes her sweat mad and she cannot sleep in it. Price is not an issue so can someone recommend a good one please that will do her until shes old enough for a forward facing seat. I have Isofix on the car..

my son is 18 months old and 3 foot tall and is still rear facing in his besafe izi x3.

I looked at the besafe and I didnt like it. We had it installed in the car and there was still some movement in the seat. I also found the padding to be scarce enough compared to what we purchased. The be safe is a crazy price too..

    It finally loaded!
    Britax are a good make.
Personally there is no way I would be happy with my 9 month old in it but we all have our own preferences and we all believe "safety" to mean different things.

I have to buy a new car seat soon too because the( 20lb) 14 month old will be out of her maxi cosi baby seat soon . I dunno what to buy.
The 3 year old weighs about 32lb and is in the besafe izi fix happily so it is probably her that I should be buying the new seat for.

We also need to get a new seat soon for our 14 month old. I think I'm going to get a rear facing as I'm now aware that they're much safer. Sometimes I wish I didn't know because the choice is so limited and they're damn expensive in comparison to forward facing.

We're down to the britax 2 way elite which can only be bought from in car safety in Belfast (£200) or the britax multitech from Tony Kealys for €300. Those are the only models compatible with our car.

I might check and see if the besafe izifix is compatible although its still in the same price range as the others.

I wasnt too happy about it eithe tbh but herself insisted on forward facing so I lost my case as usual.. I am glad she is out of that Baby elegance seat though, that was a horrible thing that was very unsafe....
