Eircom - Router keeps disconnecting

I have 24mb BB with Eircom, well usually only hit 14mb, have the old netopia router and have had this BB for a while, but at certain times during the day it will just disconnect and connect for about an hour.. it's really annoying. I used to have the Zyxel router aswell, it didn't disconnect but it was crap.. hitting 14mb per sec on the netopia router and only hit 6-8 mb on the zyxel.
