Switched provider, have a query!

Hey guys, recently switched home phone and broadband from eircom to vodafone, and I've gotten emails saying it'll be switched over in a few days (got it 3 days ago!) and I'm wondering how will I know when it switches? Should the Eircom broadband automatically turn off, and the Vodafone broadband turn on? Thanks!

You will be given a username and password by vodafone, which you imput into your router's login page to connect to their service.
