Ridiculous scoreline...looks like something from a Kilkenny football match. :pac:

    Kilkenny wouldn't score 11pts in 4 football matches :D

who do you think is looking well for the club football championship??

While the quality of football needs huge improvement, the beauty of football in Tipperary is thats its a pretty open competition. Every year a different team seems to win it with little dominance or monopolies occuring.

here is the results of the finals since 2001 from wiki

    2011 Thomas McDonaghs 0-09 Moyle Rovers 0-07
    2010 Aherlow 2-04 Loughmore-Castleiney 1-06
    2009 Moyle Rovers 3-06 Aherlow 1-11
    2008 Galtee Rovers 0-07 Cahir 0-05
    2007 Moyle Rovers 1-09 Fethard 0-04
    2006 Aherlow 2-10 Moyle Rovers 0-05
    2005 Ardfinnan 1-05 Loughmore-Castleiney 1-04
    2004 Loughmore-Castleiney 0-09 Moyle Rovers 0-06
    2003 Cahir 0-07 Ardfinnan 0-04
    2002 Clonmel Commercials 1-14 Aherlow 1-05
    2001 Fethard 1-13 Aherlow 0-08

Pat Kerwick turned out another impressive performance for Killenaule on their last outing..When he was fully fit in 2009 he brought great pace to the half forward line heres hoping he can do it again in 2012..

He shouldnt have been dropped this year. Yes his form suffered a little as he came back from a niggly injury but compared to one or two that are being hoarded on the panel he has alot to offer. Delighted he is doing well because he is a good lad is Festy.
His club mate Kieran Bergin, a former county minor, got 4 points against Mullinahone last week. He played on same minor team as Shane Long around 03-04 but then emigrated to America at a young age. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

Anybody watch the championship predictions on league sunday? Surprised that tipp were written off easily enough, none of them felt they would even get to a munster final.

Cant blame them tbh, they can only go on what they have seen in the league, and we have been very poor so far. The rumours surrounding the management does not help either and hopefully this will be sorted out sooner rather than later.

Tipp SH Manager Declan Ryan and Tipperary County Board are pleased to announce the return of Lar Corbett to the Tipp SH panel. Over the last few months Lar has been heavily involved in developing his business activities and is now once again in a position to give the necessary commitment to being a member of the panel. Lar will recommence training with the panel immediately.

    :D

Delighted to hear Lars back, he's a huge asset to us but we still have plenty of problems with the team and more so with the tactics we're playing. Hopefully that a change of attacking philosophy has encouraged Lar to get back involved.

Well if its one of the players i mentioned earlier in the thread then fair enough because they aren't good enough for intercounty hurling. Lar has proven he is over the years.

God anyone who could motivate them or is any way astute with tactics would do. They dont even have to be from tipp so long as they are good enough. Would love Eamon O'Shea back above all. I think even Declan would do well with him there.

If Seamus Callanan carries over that form from the challenge match I'll be a happy man.

Good about Lar being back but doesn't cover up all the deficits that the team has IMO.

scored 1-8 or 1-9 against Clare in Clonlara and was also excellent for Drom against Loughmore the previous night

What you mean 'go out there and hurl for the full 70' doesn't qualify as tactically astute . Thats us buggered then.

When we won the 10 final I was thinking that with the age profile of the team this was the start of something special but you'd have to wonder will we even make the final this year!

and he looked a class apart doing it.

i want to say best of look to the minors tonight and hopefully they will do the business over a strong cork side !

    Just back from Cork.

What a terrific group of minors we have. Themselves and the manager are a credit to the county. To go down to Leeside on the back of beating Kerry down in Tralee and beat a decent Cork side in their own backyard is fantastic. The set up is so professional its a joy to behold. Davy Power is such an organised manager, fired up to the last and goes about his business in the utmost professional manner.

Great win for the minors again,Kerry next in the Munster final who struggled to beat Clare tonight.last 3 games we beat Dublin in Dublin,Kerry in Kerry and Cork in Cork.that's some going in fairness.
