    I reckon Dundalk is well up there. Prices have dropped by 55-60% in some cases.

    Probably Leitrim or the north-west, although looking at daft.ie there are plenty of houses all round the country for less than 50k.

    Apartments in Leitrim are probably among the cheapest in Ireland, I would guess. Relatively newly built 2 bedroom apartments are openly on sale for 38k. Anyone find cheaper? Probably an offer of 35k would be accepted, worth trying if you want one.

    There is houses for sale in Marlmount just outside Dundalk for 55k. Its an empty estate about 3 miles from town in area called Haagerstown. Agent is called Sherry Fitzgerald Carroll. Asking price was 110k but I know someone who paid 55k.
