Again; a absolutely savage tie to start off the FA Cup campaign for either club, going on recent performances, this should be City's, but I'm a bit more optimistic than that, especially after hearing the good news from our perspective the Kolo & Yaya will be out for the game. Albeit the latter being a tad more important than the former, all due respect to Kolo Touré.

My honest prediction for the tie is a goalless draw, with the replay at Old Trafford being anyones' game. But I did have a dream last night that Paul Scholes came out of retirement and was substituted on late in the game and scored the winner in stoppage time, although I realise that is a bit unlikely. :pac:

Oh, and I would like to see Anderson play from the start.
    I'm fucking psychic!

Good to see City involving a couple of promising youth players with Suarez and Razak on the bench.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,591 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

Anyone know what the bench is?

I'd be surprised if it's Jones at RB.

Subs: Hart, Zabaleta, Savic, Hargreaves, Clichy, Suarez, Razak.

Subs: De Gea, Evans, Anderson, Park, Hernandez, Rafael Da Silva, Scholes.

Jaysus didn't expect to see Scholes on the bench. Fairly woke me up this morning.

This feels like a WWE return. ''Bah Gawd, that's Paul Scholes!''

Well I don't think he'll have to go to court over it.

ITV coverage is dreadful. 30 minutes build up and no mention at all of Rooney with maybe one mminute on Scholes. ITV coverage is so much weaker than RTÉ, Sky, and even BBC.

David Silva 9/1 first goalscorer? If I wasn't a United fan I'd be taking a good look at that.

Do itv still have Jim Beglin or has he been relieved of his duty?

Valencia seems to give away a lot of fouls

    Jones RB, Smalling CB

    Good decision from Fergie.

Roy Keane is in the studio so he'd probably be a good analyst if he was asked questions whihc were any was provolking or insightful. Instead the best Adrian Childs can come up with is "have you brought your boots today Roy?".

Townsend as co-commentator so no Beglin. It's a shame as he is very good.
