Had a right laugh over on facebook there at some of the results of this question with some friends. We were using the Irish chart, then we went on to parents (which had some real bizarre results) and used the UK chart because the Irish chart only started in 62'.

Thought we could give it a go in here for the laugh, see what's thrown up...

I have not bothered to play that because I remember it. An unfortunate choice of song for poor Nena because she had a lisp so "99 Red Baloons" came out as "99 Wed Baloons". However I'm sure she made enough money to console herself.

Is there a prize for the most uncool song, cos I reckon I've got it in the bag if so. This awful (yet annoyingly catchy) number was at the top spot in the Irish charts for six weeks :eek:, including the week I was born.
