Happy new year everyone! Big up each and any and all of you we bumped into over the course of 2011; whether at the start of it, the end of it, the bits in the middle or right the way through, it's been another great year and it's mainly thanks to those of you who keep turning up to the nights we put on so massive respect, we wouldn't last a minute without ye! Here's hoping your 2012 is better than the movie!

Exactly when the very first Tribe night was actually held appears to have been lost somewhere in the mists of time at this stage, which is why we aren't quite sure when to have our annual birthday party, but what with both of our mothers having had the foresight to give birth to both of us on the exact same date in January (albeit some years apart!) we're just going to give up trying to remember and declare this our birthday, since it actually IS our birthday, and sure since we're Tribe and we're both Tribe and Tribe consists of us (and all of you) it makes sense to us that Tribe shares our birthday too.

ANYWAY - as a result of all of that we've decided (for only the second time ever) to push the boat out a little and get a couple of heads over from out of foreign, and not just any couple of heads either, we've got Loxy and Mantmast on the case here, and that as we all know means SERIOUS BUSINESS.

There isn't much you can really say about Loxy that hasn't really been said before; perhaps the only real problem is that not too many heads outside the world of DnB have ever heard it said. In an era when the likes of D:Bridge and Kasra (to name but two) have managed to cross over to a wider audience of serious electronic music fans Loxy has somehow remained the best-kept secret of the D&B world, and all of this despite the fact that he's been on the go since 93, has been resident at the legendary Renegade Hardware nights since their very inception, is the owner of a string of iconic labels including Cylon and Xtinction Agenda, was a co-founder of the legendary Horsemen movement... and... and... and you'll just have to take it from us that he's an absolute don. King of the deep, dark, tribal rollers, we've wanted to get Loxy over at some stage since well before we even started doing Tribe nights, and it is almost inconceivable that the Tribe nights would have ended up sounding quite the way they have over the years, were it not for the likes of Loxy, so I can't imagine a better DJ to book for what I'm going to pretend is our birthday celebration for lack of evidence to the contrary.

Up alongside the man himself, we have the undeniable vocal talents of Mc Mantmast making his Irish debut; Mantmast is a well-known MC who works with both the Metalheadz and Shogun Audio camps - and you can't really say fairer than that. Having first caught our ear at Sun & Bass in Sardinia three or four years ago we're delighted to finally have the chance to get him over to Tribe.

Support on the night comes in the form of Bonz doing a 90 minute warmup set until you're all drunk enough to deal with Executive Steve playing for an hour.

This is going to be one hell of a party ladies and gentlemen, leave those new year's resolutions on the long finger for just a few more weeks...
